Nice to meet you!
I'm Amie Beth
Welcome!
I am so glad you are here and it is my pleasure to share a little bit more about me and my why for what I love to do!

~My Journey~
Hello everyone and thank you for taking some of your precious time to be here with me! I am deeply honored because I have so much passion for being a piece of a chapter in my clients' lives. The path that brought me here was quite an eclectic one filled with curiosity and curves. Early on I struggled with those curves trying to find meaning and direction but eventually learned to lean into the discomfort, trust my intuition (as I call it our inner compass), and build resiliency through faith in myself and the universe. I had always been interested in so many facets of life as a young girl and woman. Wanting to dip my hands metaphorically speaking, into so much, made my mom giggle!
As I entered my college years, was very drawn to the fields of psychology and sociology, what makes humans, well..."human." I love connecting with people and believe that I was given a gift to connect deeply with others. A natural curiosity into what paths brought people to not only where they are but to who they are. I have also had a special place in my heart for working with children and families, starting in daycare and transitioning into exploring the world of being a nanny while attending community college. I thoroughly enjoyed working closely with families as their nanny and forming that special bond with their children and them over the course of a decade, very fond memories for me. As with any transition, changes came, children grew older which led me into the interest of starting my own wedding planning business. I had always enjoyed working with events and the thought of helping couples plan their most special day "to become one' to start their own family felt like a natural transition from working so intimately with families as their nanny. Working in the wedding industry taught me a lot, being a newly married woman myself on that journey.
As a wedding planner, you collaborate with all family members and observe family dynamics closely as you work together to execute their special day. One thing that always came so apparent to me was the mechanics of the family system, some working well and unfortunately some not. I was captivated by this and let's be honest sometimes you can be brought into a counseling type role when problems arise within the families. I loved the idea of guiding families more as I saw opportunities for better communication and connection between members, to be a more integral part of the process. It was this that led me to the excitement of walking into Trevecca Nazarene University on a summer day in Nashville, TN to apply for graduate school. In May 2012, I walked proudly up to receive my Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy and in that moment, my soul felt at peace and home knowing creating a space for people to be heard and empowered was what I wanted to do! And being the holistic minded woman I am believing that everything in our lives is interconnected, I became certified in holistic life coaching in addition to my training as a therapist.
